Kennington Park: Pro Stars the only team to bag 3 points!!
Cowley 5 vs BL All Stars 5 18.00 Kick Off
Ginger 10, 17, 47 Femi 3,
Ed 13. Richard 6, 7, 31
Aimes 16 Farouk 7
A really great game to watch both teams gave a great account of themselves. 2 hatricks and 2 comebacks. All Stars dominated from the get go playing some great attacking football in the. Femi and Richard were red hot, taking on players, quick passing and clinical finishing were at their disposal. They scored very early in the 3rd minute through Femi with a cool finish. 3 minutes later Richard was on the score sheet with the goal of the game. After great passing outside of the Cowley box he weaved passed Ed and unleashed a shot leaving Darren Rye with no chance. Before the restart Cowley pushed forward with belief but it was quickly extinguished as All Stars hit them on the counter and Richard put it away a minute after his first. An even quicker goal followed after the restart through captain Farouk All Stars were flying, 4-0 up in 7 minutes. But surprisingly Cowley heads didn’t drop in fact just the opposite All Stars became very comfortable and in the 10th minute Ginger made them pay with a great long shot skipping passed everyone and hitting the back of the net. 3 minutes later a great piece of team work saw Ginger T off Ed to bag his first of the game. Cowley were rallying back and struck again through Aimes confusion from the throw in for All Stars and quick thinking from Cowley led them to pull one back. The comeback was complete when Ginger got his second of the game with another clinical finish. 4-4 half time and All Stars were kicking themselves for letting a 4 goal lead slip.
The second half saw All Stars dominate possession and have a shed load of chances. Richard managed to get his hatrick in the 31st minute and seal a man of the match performance. All Stars literally could have been 15 goals to the good if they had put away their chances however lacklustre finishing presented a great opportunity for Cowley to steal the game. It looked like it was on the cards as Cowley counter attacked through Ginger and levelled at 5-5 and in the dying minutes of the game had 2 really good chances to win the game but both times came agonisingly close. It ended 5-5. There should have been more goals in the game, both teams had their chances and it really could have gone either way. Where Ginger has sealed himself as winner of top scorer, next week’s game against Brixton Lions will be crucial to see if Darren Rye can pick up the goal keeper award 2 years running.

Brixton Lions 3 Vs SEF 3 Kick Off 17:00
Frankie 28, 54 Serkan 24
Matt 43 Levent 41, 53
The Lions started off quite well with a great defence and powerful attacks, although SEF were looking good in defence as well. Stevie (SEF) let his presence be felt with hard tackles and great ability stopping any chance of the Lions getting through over the top. Half time score was 1-1.
In the second half things started to heat up. There were sustained periods of pressure from Brixton Lions and SEF managed to hold them off. It was evident that SEF lacked shape and this was something the Lions exploited Matt (Lions) ran through a gaping hole in the middle and smashed the ball passed the stranded keeper. It looked like the match would be the Lions however SEFs captain Levent stepped up with a wonder strike leaving the best keeper in the league with the job of picking the ball out of his net. 3 minutes before final whistle Levent scored again to put the boys in blue in front for the first time. SEF were preparing to celebrate the win, when Frankie scored a last minute equaliser. Final score: 3-3. If it wasn't for major defensive errors SEF would have been celebrating 3 points instead of 1.

6 minutes into the game and Kris (Lions) opened the score. Pro Stars equalized and even took the lead 10 minutes later. In the first half, Lions keeper took the ball from outside the area resulting in a penalty for Pro Stars. The keeper saved it and play went on with a corner. By the end of first half the score was 1-2 for Pro Stars.
The second half was more of Pro Stars attacking while Lions were defending. Brixton lost focus and Pro Stars took advantage and scored a hat-trick. 7 minutes before final whistle, Pro Stars keeper got outside the area without informing me and I had no choice but to award a penalty against them. It was denied. Curtis (Pro Stars) scored one last goal and final score was 3-6 for Pro Stars.
